Camilla is an Edinburgh based artist and illustrator. She is inspired by the unique spaces and atmosphere of Edinburgh and of the wider Scottish landscape. On moving north seventeen years ago, Camilla began work as a freelance illustrator and has since developed her practice as a watercolorist through developing her personal work and via the many commissions she’s worked on over this time. She has illustrated two children’s books and has been part of many other publishing projects.

Having read history of art at Edinburgh University and textiles at Manchester Metropolitan, Camilla is self taught as an artist and decided to return to do a years painting course at Leith School of art and in 2022 where she was awarded the Landscape Prize.

Recently Camilla has spent more time developing her painting practice and her work in acrylic, oil and other media. She works from her studio which was once part of the St Stephen’s Street antiques arcade in Stockbridge, just north of the city centre.
